Widmo Brockenu

A catalogue accompanying the same-titled exhibition at BWA Awangarda Gallery in Wrocław. The exhibition was devoted to the mountain motif in contemporary art. The participating artists referred to the romantic myth of the mountains present in Polish culture. Nowadays, it is undergoing continual deconstructions and transformations, providing artists with a tool which helps them explore current problems, own limitations and capabilities, as well as universal issues like ordering history and material culture or nature-man relationships.
