Krzysztof Cichosz. Fotoinstalacje

5,00

The catalogue accompanying the exhibition entitled Fotoinstalacje (Photo Installations) from 2003 by Krzysztof Cichosz, which summarizes the artist’s work to date. It began with a series of works entitled Zmyślenia (Fabrications), where the images consisted of seemingly chaotic lines spread over several layers of foil. In his art, Cichosz does not shy away from addressing ethical, cultural and even political issues as in the series Rozstrzelany (Shot) or Wielka trójka (The Big Three). His initial preference for black and white photography finally gave way to colour works, and the artist expanded his arsenal of techniques by means of computer graphics.
Krzysztof Cichosz graduated from the Warsaw College of Photography in 1989 and he defended his master’s thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań at the Faculty of Multimedia Communication. He is the founder of the FF Gallery (Photography Forum) which has been operating in Łódź since 1983. Since 1989, he has been a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers.
